    Mound of Fudge

    2 cups sugarand
    1/3 cup cocoa
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 cup butter or marjarine
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/2 cup chopped nuts

;In saucepan mix sugar and cocoa, add milk and butter and bring to a rolling boil.Lower heat and cook until a small amount forms a softball when dropped in very cold water, or use a candy thermometer and cook to softball stage.Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Let cool to lukewarm about 30 minutes.Beat until mixture is thick and loses it’s gloss. Turn out in a mound on buttered plate or foil. Cool and cut in slices. For a gift wrap without cutting
